Chris Orr British, b. 1943
Before things went haywire, driving on the country roads of Britain, I was aware of all the odd things that go on in paradise. Every field has a surrealist in it, and round every bend you might encounter a horse drawn cement mixer. Once upon a time the city was buzzing and the country was a sleepy backwater. I celebrate the World upside down! Ignore John Denver and please keep to the 100mph speed limit. This engraving with complicated hand colouring was done during the first lockdown in a very limited edition of 4.
